45 Records Value

Question How much does not having the sleeve for a 45 record decrease the value of it?
I have a TON of 45 records but none of them have sleeves or anything, it is just the record. They're all in perfect condition, just nothing with them. How much would the value decrease on them if I sold them? And would it be better just to donate them somewhere that could find cases, etc.? i.e. a record shop, vintage store.

Best Answer The sleeves increase the value greatly, but the fact is that more than 90% of all 45s sold were sold in plain white wrappers with label sized holes, not the treasured sleeves.

Question is there some value to old 45 records if so how do i find out?
i have a box of old records.they do not have the cover to them

Question Value of RCA Victor 45 records.?
I found a BIG box of RCA Victor 45 records. The are in excellent condition in original slips and boxed by collection. No visible dates, but I would imagine most are from the 1950's era. Where can I find a value on these? I have about 100 of them.

Best Answer I am a record collector and enthusiast..it's pretty much all I play at home and I collect as well. To the best of my knowledge the brands Warman and Goldmine provide the most accurate up-to-date price guides and listings. The books are fairly large and expensive(around $30) but if you are considering collecting or selling you may want to invest in one. If your new found treasure pile is really in excellent condition as you say and most have the original PS(picture sleeve)...depending on the year and artist, some can be worth up to thousands of dollars, but most range from $5- $20 respectively. In an open market(auction or private sell) you can expect to attain 20-25% of the NM(near mint) value, give or take. It really all depends how bad someone wants what you have, and the "playing condition" of the records. Appeal is one thing but true connoisseurs prefer smooth crisp play over looks any day.
